Happy 82nd Birthday Grandpa Kelly

Today is grandpa Kelly's birthday and we had a chance to go up last night and visit him. He is in the middle of a BIG project that he is really excited about. He is building a chicken coop for the backyard and can hardly wait for his 30 chicks he has ordered to arrive in the mail!! I can't believe he is 82. He is still so busy with the garden and doing things around the house and always has a good attitude!! What a guy!

This is a picture of Ron and his kids with grandpa putting up the walls of the coop. They will be putting up the roof today. They have windows and a door to put on after that. As you can see the rose garden is gone!
Another wall going up on the coop!
This is the pen he has made for the baby chicks to stay in. They will be here until they get their feathers and can be moved into the coop. He has this in the garage for safety and warmth. Pretty nice place for the chicks. We all think he is crazy for ordering 30 chicks. What will he do with all the eggs???? He has also planted 31 tomatoe plants this year so I guess he will be known as the tomatoe-egg guy in the neighborhood!!

FIRST STRAWBERRIES!!

I know your mouth is watering just thinking of eating one of these berries. The berry stand is officially open for business and I just had to stop and get some!! They are so yummy! A little spendy this year but worth every penny (or should I say dollar?).
I used the close up setting for this picture so you could REALLY see how good they look. They taste just as good as they look.

Sunday Morning Pictures!

Bryson in his new little sport coat!! Looking mighty cute!
Megan in her new dress for church. We match with the blue and white theme!!

Bryson LOVES hair brushes!! He always took mine from the bathroom and loves to brush his hair. I think he is taking after Nic! Always trying to look his best.

Office pictures so far

Looking into the waiting room with the new chairs and carpet. Jackie's office chairs and granite counter top
Front office with new laminate behind desk area and new carpet in the hall.
New laminate in the sterilization room. The girls LOVE it!!
Laminate and carpet by the pano machine. It really looks great. We still need to paint the baseboards and the walls and then the granite was measured for the front desk to see if we have enough left over from Jackies room to put it over the blue stuff!! Looks wonderful.

Pictures of FUN

You have to have a white castle hamburger when in the midwest. We were at the pre-fireworks show pot luck and low and behold someone brought white castle to share!! Had to have one for old times sake. (We had them in St. Louis) This ones for you Sid!!

Just a cute shot of Megan at the zoo entrance with the daffordills. She looks so cute with her little freckles amongst the flowers!
The kids playing in the living room. Megan pushing Bryson in the basket while mom took a shower!! Good entertainment.

I'm Back

Well, I had a fun filled week in Kentucky with Josh and Alexis and the grandkids. The weather was very strange but ended up being really nice the day I left to go home!! I returned home to 80 degree weather so I can't complain. First let me say a big thank you to all of you who sent me those wonderful birthday cards via email and regular mail. I loved every one of them and got a big laugh out of them all. Steve you out did yourself for sure this year with your very strange card. I will have to think long and hard to out do you for next year.

I am adjusting to the time change and found it hard to sleep past 5 this morning!! I just laid in bed awake and wondered what time it was!! I watched American Idol last night so was tired after that show and went to sleep! (Go David Cook!) I think David Cook looks and acts like Thomas!! Anyone else feel the way I do??? David Cook Rocks!!

Big Thanks to Josh and Alexis for letting me come and see the Thunder over Louisville! It was amazing and we all need to see it together next year! I don't have much more pictures to post that Alexis hasn't already shown you! I will take a picture of my "Boobie" prize I won at Bunco with Alexis neighbors! What a hoot!!

Dad did bring in more dead animals while I was gone. We now have 3 ducks in the office with the turkey and I am so upset about it. How tacky is that??? Enough already with the taxidermy in my house. I am going to have to move them out with the Elk in the garage while he takes a hunting trip next time!!

Naughty Boy Rusty!!

Well You may ask how you could be mad at Rusty Boy?? Well, I will tell you. Dad and I were in the computer room and saw a dog walking past the window. We both thought is was Zobie who frequently walks by on his way to get a treat from us. But no! It was Rusty Boy!! We both wondered how this could be since he was in the side yard. We thought the gate must have gotten open or something so we went out to check. Lo and behold Rusty had pushed the wire fencing away from the white fence and crawled to freedom!! He broke the plastic ties that hold the fence to the white fence!! We checked his feet and face and couldn't see any scratches or anything. What is this dog thinking??? He has a beautiful yard to play and run in and why would he try so hard to escape???? Naughty boy Rusty! The proof is in the pictures. You can see the messed up fence. We will have to reinforce the fence with wire ties and put a heavier guage wire fence in its place. Bad Dog!

Thank You Grandpa Kelly

This is the old lawn mower that dad used to mow the 1/2 acre on the side of the house. It took him about 3 hours to get the job done and even longer if the grass was long. He would push it and Rusty would follow him all around the property.

This is the NEW lawn mower that Grandpa Kelly gave dad to mow the 1/2 acre on the side of the house!! It is actually not new but grandpa bought a new one for himself and gave this one to us!! He used it last night and it took him just a little over an hour to do the whole yard!!

Thank you grandpa!! It looks so much nicer now!! Rusty didn't follow him around because he kept barking at the mower and tried to chase dad! Crazy dog.

Amazing Elephant Artist

I was watching this video and was amazed that someone could teach an elephant to do this. And Julia you thought Loraya was a good artist.
