We went up to Grandpa Kelly's house for the 4th and had fun with some relatives who joined in. We had Calvin and Joanne, Ryan & Jen and their cute 3 girls, Clinton without Marga who stayed home to nurse a dog who got bit, and then Mike and Christy. We had a fun time bar-b-queuing and then swimming in the pool. Brought back a lot of fun memories and we had a fun time sitting around talking about some of them. Grandpa's chickens are getting much bigger and love to eat left over watermelon rinds!! They also like to peck you hard if you put your finger in the fence!! Looks like Grandpa has about 5 roosters so Ron or Sid will have to help him get rid of them. They need to get a little more fat before they give them the chop! The tomatoes were HUGE and tons of them getting ripe and ready to pick. The weather was perfect and we just had a really good time!! I remember the 4th of July gathering at Grandpa Kelly's. It was always so fun to have all the cousins together swimming, playing whiffle ball, eating the fresh produce, and then lighting off fireworks. Good memories!!
sounds like a great time! It is always great to spend it with family.
It was good to see you guys this weekend. Thanks for the yummy veggies from your garden. I can't wait till I can have a garden.
