I'm not in Kansas anymore!

Well, I guess I am not in Kansas because I am in Kentucky!! How could you not get excited about seeing these two little ones every morning waking you up!! What a great time I had in Kentucky with Josh and Alexis. We had a crazy beginning with the likes of Ike storm roaring into the Louisville area and knocking out the power. We were very lucky to have a well built home that didn't have any damage from the winds or fallen trees. We had church in the dark!! No electricity for the microphones or lights in the rooms but you could still feel the spirit of determined members to hold church for the whole 3 hours!! Great neighbors that checked up on everyone and to see the church in action with the checking of the HT and VT routes to see if anyone needed any assistance. What a great bunch of people! School was out for the whole week! 300,000 people without electricity. We went to the zoo and the animals were fun to see even without lights!!
This is Bryson jumping on my bed. I shared his room while I was there and he would wake up in the middle of the night and tell me to give him is pacifier that he had lost out of his crib!! We would look at each other and laugh and giggle. He is such a darling little guy with the most beautiful blue eyes you have ever seen.
Can you guess what this was??? We ate at some good places while in Kentucky and of course enjoyed sharing desserts. This was a moulton cake I think. Yum Yum Mike takes the prize for eating the most at one sitting at Joe's crab shack!!
Megan kept us entertained with having her 5th birthday while I was there and we got to watch her play soccer 3 times and ballet one time. It was great that she could do things with us and we didn't have to worry about getting her at school. She is supposed to get back to school this week so she will be back into her normal routine again. Megan was so wonderful with baby Ava and held her so gently and lovingly. She will be a great help to any addition to the family in the future.

While in Kentucky we also started a large landscaping overhaul. We removed and reworked the flower beds and added a few things to make it look better. We bought a lot of top soil and new plants to put in and edging for the new beds. We got a lot done in the great weather but there is more to finish this week. Mike promised he would help plant the larger plants when they return form West Virginia for a day. I look forward to seeing the finished results on your blog. We planted around 100 bulbs of tulips and others that will bloom in the spring. Can't wait to see that picture.

I will definately be posting pictures of everything for anyone who would like to see everything that we did. We love you and are grateful for the time you took to come and see us!
